Camden's Accident!!
Hey everyone this is Brandy and I am sitting here with camden and we thought we would make a blog so that all of you could see how he is doing. Here are some pictures of him and I am just going to copy and paste the story that Aunt Pam e-mailed so that I dont have to type it all over again. :) But he is home and he is feeling alot better and he wants to tell everyone thank you for the prayers and he loves you all!
THE STORY:
He was driving his friend, Josh, to find Josh's grandmother, to ask permission for Josh to sleep over at Camden's.
It was getting dark, they turned onto a dirt road, and across the dirt road was barbed wire. Camden didn't see it until about 5 feet before and couldn't stop that fast.
The barbed wire caught them and the 4 wheeler kept going.
Camden was taken to Kanab hospital in an ambulance. (Josh had a cell phone and called)
Dixie went with him in the ambulance.
Marvin was policeman on duty, and stayed with Dixie until about 1 in the morning.
Marvin and a male nurse gave Camden a blessing.
He was transferred in an ambulance to St George hospital at about 2 in the morning. And had surgery at about 4:00 this morning, getting out of surgery at about 6:00.
The doctor returned to Dixie and said, "We have had a miracle."
His injuries include gashes on left arm has had stitches.
His chest has about 10-12 scrapes with stitches.
His right arm is where there is the most damage where it has been gashed down to the bone. Where bone and muscle and veins could all be seen and hanging out. (10 centimeters wide at opening)
In the emergency room they asked him to move his fingers, and he could. They asked him to move his arm, and he could. They all were saying it was a miracle.
The muscle surgeon that worked on him said that after many years of surgery all his patients were sports repairs and not a gashed muscle but that as soon as he received the call he has studied up on what to do. He feels like he was able to do the muscle repair. There will be some scarring as their was not enough skin to pull it back together again as clean as some stitches can be. His arm is tied to him on a 45 degree angle and will be so for 3-4 weeks, and he is not to "move a muscle". They are keeping him for 6-7 hours today at the hospital and if all goes well will release him, and Dixie will take him home.

(Thank you Aunt Pam) :)
Funny things Camden said since this has happened:
"Mom can you look at my toe it really hurts"
"Well on all the Will Smith Movies they alwasy show the girls kissing him touching his scars"
(Josh crying) "Josh calm down its ok, its ok"
"How does it look Mom?" Mom says "It looks like we should cut it off and put it on the BBQ"
(He didnt like that)
